Thrown thin on the wheel, the body features soft, swirling horizontal patterns that flow like gentle ocean currents across the surface. During the firing, vibrant sapphire blue ash glaze drifted and pooled in rich, layered tones, blending with soft greys and warm earth hues.
What makes this piece especially beautiful is its natural transparency — when held to the light, the thin porcelain glows with a luminous quality, revealing the depth of every swirl. At the bottom, you can see the striking crystallized ash effect, where the intense heat created delicate, jewel-like crystal formations in shades of turquoise and white.
