Hand-thrown stoneware cup, shaped on the wheel and surrendered to the wood kiln.
Deep brown ash glaze flows in rich, swirling layers, while patches of emerald-green crystallized ash emerge like tiny jeweled veins — the result of intense flame and mineral magic during the long firing.
Seashells placed strategically on the cup left subtle, organic marks and impressions across the surface, adding a quiet fossil-like memory of the sea to the textured, wave-like ridges.
Organic wave-like ridges and gentle crackle create a textured surface that feels almost bark-like, catching light and shadow from every angle.
The slightly uneven rim and grounding form make this a comfortable, everyday cup for tea, coffee, or quiet moments of holding.
